Poem~ Mag 137

(image:  "It Must Be Time For Lunch Now", 1979, by Francesca Woodman)

Having the tools to eat, and yet not eating

Having the capacity to live and yet not living

Having the heart to love and yet not loving

Hiding within

Starving long

Putting off till a rainy day that never comes

All the lonely people

They say you can lead a horse to water....

and still he won't drink.

Poor blind horse.

I love you well

and would ride you, feed you, love you.

Would that you would only drink.
